About the Role

St Cuthbert's College is looking for a Mathematics teacher to join our Senior School, in a well-resourced Faculty, with an ability to teach Calculus to Year 13. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and effective teacher who inspires curiosity, confidence and interest in mathematics amongst their students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing quality teaching and learning for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Keeping up to date with current pedagogy.
  • Ensuring quality pastoral care of students.

About You:

  • Experience and a passion for growing young minds.
  • You demonstrate exceptional teaching practice, delivering motivational and differentiated Mathematics lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • You have a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum, and can effectively teach Mathematics to senior levels.
  • Enjoy working within a team to be an active participant in team planning.
  • Be highly organised; self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Be an effective communicator, both verbal and written.

Key Attributes:

  • Ability to teach Mathematics and Calculus to Senior levels Y7-13.
  • IB experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. 
  • NCEA experience at Levels 2 and 3.
  • Current Teacher Registration.
  • Valid New Zealand working rights.
