We offer high-quality instruction in a supportive and professional environment.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Junior Squad Coach to join our Swim School team and help foster the next generation of competitive swimmers. This role is ideal for coaches who enjoy working with junior-level athletes.As a Junior Squad Coach, you will lead and support the technical and physical development of swimmers aged 8–16 years. You will be instrumental in progressing our junior swimmers toward competitive readiness while promoting a positive culture and love for the sport of swimming.Key Responsibilities:Coach swimmers in the Junior Squad, focusing on skill development, technique and training progression.Plan and deliver engaging, level-appropriate swim sessions.Provide constructive feedback and motivation to swimmers.Liaise with the Aquatic Centre Manager and Swim School team to align squad goals with the wider program pathway.Monitor and record swimmer progress; contribute to squad assessments and squad selections.Ensure high standards of health and safety and behaviour on pool deck.Assist with administrative and operational tasks related to the squad program.About You:Friendly and professional approach with young athletes and families.Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.Team-oriented and committed to continuous improvement.Passionate about developing young swimmers in a positive and engaging environment.Key Attributes:Proven experience coaching junior or development-level swimmers.Strong technical knowledge of stroke development and competition preparation.Relevant swim coaching certifications (e.g. Swimming NZ or equivalent).Current Lifeguard and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A collaborative and professional approach to coaching.Valid New Zealand working rights.What We Offer:A supportive and experience aquatic team environment.Access to top-class aquatic facilities.Opportunities for professional development.A rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the growth of young athletes.
